Day 4 of Bedroom make over - 30 minutes a day

I've finished the room :) I can't be happier! It's amazing how big, free and airy the room feels. I spent a little longer then 30 minutes in here today, but once I saw the end was near I couldn't stop :)

Here's the end result:

I absolutely love it :)

The first post on the challenge with the before pics can be found here

I'd like to say a BIG thankyou to Sam at I love organising for starting this challenge and keeping me motivated :)

What I've learnt along the way:

  •  Only buy things you absolutely need to avoid ending up with overwhelming clutter.
  • Do a regular clean to stay on top of things.
  • Don't leave things for tomorrow.
  • Don't let it get to that point, where you'll need to endure this pain again lol.
  • Allowing things to get that messy isn't setting a good example for my kids.
  • How happy I am with the room once it's clean :)

  3. Fantastic. I'm so glad I motivated you. I think the bedroom is one of the most important places to keep uncluttered. I make sure to make my bed every day and that there are no clothes laying around, just so that when I go to sleep at night I am in a relaxed state. Good on you. Can't wait to see what else you do. Thanks for putting your pic on my blog.

  4. Tubbah, well done it looks great ... Thats the key isn't it. To put every thing away in the first place so our homes stay organised...tough one some times when we are tired, unwell & busy we say I'll do that later and some times later never seems to come, well it does when things become chaotic. I currently have a give away on my blog for the best tip on staying organised so please drop by and leave us a great tip to be in the running ...

  5. Thanks for all the lovely comments :)

It is so much better going to sleep at night with a clean room and not tripping over things in the middle of the night if I need to get up for something :) I've been making the beds every morning for a while now, but making sure clothes and other bits and pieces are put away before I go to bed is new for me and I'm hoping I stick to it :) Thanks again :)
